The Preferences window allows you to handle specific problems in the timetable,
simply by selecting the relevant cell in the timetable and then choosing what you
prefer or need in this window. For example, if there is a gap in the timetable of
some teacher, you can click on the empty cell of the gap, then click on Gaps at
the lists of constraint in the Preferences window and finally choose "I prefer that
the quantity of gaps per week be decreased to 0". The program will automatically
add this new demand to the collection of all constraints and immediately run the
automatic engine to solve the new problem.
Moreover, the Preferences window offers greater precision than the constraints entry
window. Using this window you can define very specific problems, such as the quantity
of gaps on a specific day of the week. If the gap is on Thursday, for instance,
you can choose that the quantity of gaps on Thursday be decreased to 0. The program
offers several options for you to choose from, but only those that are relevant
to the cell that you selected.
If you click on prefer, the value for the constraint will be defined in the
Desirable field. If you click on need, the value will be defined in the Min-Max
range.
The Preferences window is shown at the bottom of the timetable when you enter
Automatic mode in Timetable view.
Printing the Timetable
The program contains a very easy to use printing module. Choose Print from
